New MIDI Engine
SONAR now incorporates a new architecture for MIDI note management in software synths, because certain soft synths require an exact match of Note-On and Note-Off messages— insufficient Note-Off messages can lead to stuck notes and reduced voices on samplers. SONAR now explicitly counts all Note-On messages and issues an exact number of Note-Off messages to each synth when using transport functions.

Audio Import/Export Improvements
Everyone loves more options – which is why Platinum, Professional, and Artist users can now import/export Ogg Vorbis, RF64, and over 20 other audio formats for compatibility with the very latest (as well as legacy) audio formats. In addition, MP3 Export has also been improved in this release.

Cakewalk has updated SONAR to version 2016.06. The new version is designed for faster workflow, improved amp simulation, and speed optimizations.

Includes:
– Smart Swipe Track Controls let users instantly enable/disable buttons on multiple tracks by clicking a button in one track, then dragging across adjacent tracks without releasing the mouse – button. Smart Swipe is also an extremely effective complement to SONAR’S Quick Grouping feature, which creates temporary groups for most mixer and ProChannel parameters.

– The new TH3 Cakewalk Edition amp simulator now loads four times faster than before, adds the Overview panel from TH2 for faster navigation, overhauls MIDI Learn, and re-introduces the – Cabinet IR functionality included in previous SONAR versions of TH2.
– Other updates to the program include “Process Audio” editing optimizations to speed up common editing operations, Russian localization for the Steam version, and an array of fixes to help the program run more efficiently.

Dusty Eclectic Goldmine is a collection of sounds consisting mainly of breakbeat loops. The focus is on dirty, lofi sounds that would fit well into a mix of Boards of Canada or Aphex Twin tracks. The collection also include a dialogues folder full of sound clips from vintage advertising & educational movies.

Those public domain cuts have been selected to be useful for anyone seeking worthwhile sound bites to put in their mix. They have been sampled with Ninja Tune records & early 1990 IDM in mind. The rest of the collection consist of inspiring music loops as well as FXs, one shots & vinyl crackles. While designing the sounds, I had in mind to put up a sound library similar to the good old e-Lab X-Static Goldmine libraries. Don’t hesitate to chop, remix, re-arrange the loops & sounds to your taste. It is by no mean a string the dots construction kit type of library. It is meant to be sampled & chop in a creative way. I hope you’ll enjoy this collection!

The second volume of Dusty Eclectic Goldmine includes 55 original breakbeats, 23 dialogue clips (taken from public domain sources), 13 FX loops & samples, 3 Groove Kits, 38 Music Loops (including genuine analog basslines, melodies, riffs, pads & keys) & 244 percussions samples (including 94 crystal clear bongo samples, 38 darbuka percussions, 38 real analog hits & more!). The loops are Fruity Slicer & SliceX ready, they contain all the necessary metadata (slice makers + loop points) to loop properly. The genre range from minimal techno to lofi instrumental hip hop, trance to experimental! Some of the breaks were recorded on cassettes & the percussions folder contain 100% original recordings. An Effectron Junior & rare FX pedals were used to get that unique lofi sounds from the eighties cassette exchange of underground music era. All the files are 24 bits except the dialogues which are served in 16 bits mono.

The third volume of Dusty Eclectic Goldmine includes smooth ambient loops, dirty breakbeats, dusty vintage film cuts, music loops in the style of Boards of Canada, LFO, Aphex Twin and early Ninja Tune records.You also have weird FX loops, experimental textures, voices from old public domain films, drum hits and more! My inspiration for this sound library has been Kid Koala, Cold Cuts, Lone, Kona Triangle, Milieu and the whole electronic lofi scene! Expect dusty ambiences, lofi drums, indie casio melodies and old software synthesizers doing their best!

Note that this library doesn’t include any construction kits, just samples to mangle! The samples are also lofi, dusty, there’s is crackles and it’s all on purpose to give you that old vinyl cut feeling.

Zilhouette Strings is the collection of all our strings we recorded so far! It includes 7 violins, 2 viola, 7 cellos and 2 basses in total. The musicians we recorded are german-known session and live orchestra musicians. All content was recorded in several recording sessions in our own recording rooms in a close and intimate distance to the instrument in a solo as well as in a trio situation. We have used condenser mics such as Neumann U-87 and TLM 103, Schoeps MK4 as well as dynamic mics such as Sennheiser MD421, AKG D112 among others.

Zilhouette Strings is the first pure string library we are releasing and we are very excited about it! In summary, you get a collection of string sounds which is directly at your fingertips. You can quickly select the amount of player, mix the separate instrument groups at your own requirements, select the kind of seating and place them into an ambience – and that´s all with an intimate, natural and catchy sound.

Visually align beats
The waveform graphic display gives you real time audio signal monitoring, information about the audio signal and the beat rhythm. It can be configured to display more or less of the song, using the zoom in and zoom out buttons. Each deck has 3 waveforms: a full waveform, a horizontal zoomable waveform and a vertical waveform. The vertical waveforms are all located above the mixer, next to one another so that you can visually align the beats of all 4 tracks.

Find your tracks with ease
The playlist has evolved into a practical instrument of quickly finding and loading the tracks you want. You can filter your tracks by format, be it audio, video or karaoke by using the Audio, Video and Karaoke buttons. Color markers make it even easier to spot your favorite songs, because you can assign different colors to any track you desire.

Create, send, save and recall loops
You can set up seamless loops instantly, by setting In and Out points. The In and Out points can be manually or automatically set. You can save and recall loops just as you would save and recall cue-points. You can also send a loop to one of the 8 sampler slots. The loops will also be in-sync with the other 4 decks allowing for a seamless experience.

We understand the importance of having a hardware device that helps you get a greater control over your mix.
